“You telling me that wasn’t a dog.” Like she hadn’t known that when the beast attacked her. .Dang gum animal stood chest high and had teeth the size the Empire State building. Bit dramatic on.

“Why do you ask what you already know?” The graying haired man crossed his arms and stood taller. “I do not lie or tale fables. The animal that tore your to pieces last night was one of my wolves. He had no right to attack. He has been punished for his actions, but the problem has been created.”

“Alpha Timmons, I do not believe you mean that the way it sounds.”

She sure hoped not, because she was no problem. “You can just leave me be. I’ll be fine.”

“Miss . . .”

“Katie.”

“Miss Katie, what Mrs. Timmons meant was the attacker changed you into a werewolf. You are not a problem. Bit unexpected, but not a problem at all.”

“Definietly not.” Alpha Timmons moved a few inches closer. “It is my honor to be your alpha. I will ensure you have everything you need.”

Did these people think she bought their story one bit. She sure as heck didn’t. Her behind should have pulled her cell phone from her pocket and dialed 911. Nope. She didn’t. She let them keep going and going all because she knew the dang gum beast that attacked her was no dog. No matter what the police and emergency room said.

Book of Interest - Amaranthine Chronicles

Today you are in for a treat. I am hosting Tiffany Shand during her Amaranthine Chronicles Blog Tour.

It is a three-book urban fantasy series. The series includes Betrayed by Blood, Dar Revenge, The Final Battle. Take time to read the blurbs for each book and then go and get your copy.

Betrayed By Blood Blurb
In a city of lies and deception, only one thing stands between chaos and justice. For centuries, a band of outlaws called the Amaranthine has kept the peace in Ormere and hidden in plain sight whilst the Order of Sorcerers spreads their deadly magic among the city’s inhabitants.
After losing her fiancĂ© in bust gone wrong, Amaranthine Agent Kaylan Avilion returns home to discover that Elijah didn’t die but instead was changed by the twisted guards of the Order, who seek to find a dangerous artefact tied to Kaylan’s past and the murder of her family. When her sister goes missing and a foe from their past remerges, Kaylan knows she must save Freya before she’s poisoned by the very people who took Elijah away from her. But how will Kaylan react when she learns Elijah’s secret and can they come together to stop the Order’s plan in time?

Blurb for Dark Revenge
Darkness is sweeping through the city of Ormere as unnatural creatures stalk through the streets. People are dying and time is running out as a new evil threatens to take control of everything. The Amaranthine Order has been decimated leaving only a few of its people left to fight the coming terror.
Stunned by her sister Freya’s betrayal and plot to take over the city, Kaylan must do everything she can to find out what Freya plans to do when she finds an infamous book linked to the murder of their family. A book considered so dangerous that the last High Lord erased its location from history, the Amaranthine Chronicles are said to contain the darkest of all magics.
Kaylan is happy to finally have her ex-fiancĂ©, Elijah, back in her life but he’s not the man she once knew and loved. After being turned into a shapeshifter, Elijah struggles to control his inner beast and his lingering feelings for Kaylan.
Can Elijah and Kaylan come together to stop Freya and uncover the secrets of the book before it’s too late?

Blurb for The Final Battle
Darkness has claimed the city of Ormere and death has become a certainty for anyone stalking its empty streets. The government is in ruins and lawlessness ensues.
After their last encounter, Kaylan and Elijah barely managed to thwart her sister, Freya’s, latest attempts to find and use the elusive Amaranthine Chronicles. But in her desperation to receive ultimate power, Freya will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Even if it means destroying the last of her family.
Kaylan and Elijah must work on their fragile relationship and put their personal feelings aside to find the book and stop Freya before it’s too late. But with their allies growing thin, and a gang of ruthless shapeshifters close on their trail, will they finally find the book and stop Freya before time runs out? And will Kaylan have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save her city and the man she loves?

Thanks a bunch Tiffany Shand for allowing me to support you and your book. I can not wait to read the series.

Flash Fiction – Crystal Clear
Hi,

First off, I want to apologize for the lack of post lately. I have been super busy with family emergency and sick on top of that. I hope that this is the first of many more Flash Fiction post in a row for the year.

This week’s Flash Fiction phrase came to me when I was watching some movie on Sci-Fi and a woman was holding a see through phone like item. Hope you enjoy this week’s post.

Have a great week.

Had to be seeing things. Yep. No other explanation. Red and yellow Popsicle did not float. Nor did blue ball caps.

Katie pinched her arm. Wasn’t dreaming. She froze in the middle of the crosswalk, closed her eyes and opened them. The small headed ballcap still made its way away from the candy store.
“Miss, you okay?”
Katie turned her head towards the rich timber voice. She wasn’t okay. Tall, broad shoulder, blond hair man did not need to know she was losing her mind.
“You saw it to?”
“Huh?” Wait. He saw it. Shit.
“Red and yellow popsicles are my favorite flavor.”
Katie knew her eyes were bulging, but it didn’t matter considering the sexy-ass man had taken her arm and led her towards the metal bench a door from the candy store. He gave her a little push on her shoulder.
“Take a seat before you fall down.”
She shook her head and glanced back down the sidewalk. No blue cap in sight. She had to have been seeing things. Didn’t explain why the man squeezing in next to her saw it to.
“It’s a chameleon. Untrained, or uncaring one.”
“A what?”
“Chameleon. Sure you’ve heard of them.”
Heard of them? “You mean the small lizard looking like animal that changes colors?”
“Not that. Kind. Why would you think . . .”
Katie did not like the deep frown marring the stranger’s face. She disliked the shake of his head even more.
“Shit. What is going on?” The man jumped to his feet, grabbing her arm again, yanking her onto her feet. “Come on. We have to get to Razu.”
Who did this man think he was? Why had she let him escort her out of the crosswalk? She did not know him. He was not taking her nowhere. Specially, not to another person she had no clue about.
“Listen. We have - -“

“We don’t have to do anything.” Katie huffed and stepped around him, making her way down the sidewalk to her finical company.
