Flash Fiction Scene - I'm done

Hope all had a nice week. Mine was busy. I finished the first round of edits on Collar of Truth. Yeah! That’s is what led me to today’s flash fiction scene. Hope you enjoy and remember:

Chris ducked his head as the pan flew at his head. Robby was at it again. Another day with no inspiration and no new painting. Happened each time. Hadn’t been this often since they met five years ago, but as of late, it was an everyday occurrence. He was tired of it.

“Stop it, Robby.” Course Robby did not hear him thanks to his little tirade of curses. None of which made much sense. “I mean it, Robby.”

Robby’s arm hung in the air as he ran out verbal strength. The little coffee mug dropped to the floor, shattering into a thousand shards.

“Shit, baby, I’m so sorry.”

Chis didn’t really care to hear his apologizes. All he wanted was to leave the room and avoid exploding himself. He lifted his hand when Robby rushed toward him with his arms open. He spun and left the room with words he never thought he’d say to Robby.

“I’m done.”

He walked to the room he’d shared with Robby since the second day they met and snatched up one of his duffle bags, shoving a couple of outfits in. He snatched up his toiltey bag and took one more look around the room. He marched to the door, bypassing Robby who stood in the kitchen doorway with a stunned expression.

“I’ll be by soon as I find me a new place to get my stuff.”

“Please, Chris, let me - -“

He opened the door and walked out.

Book Share - Epic by Adrienne Wilder

I've yet to read her newest book, but I have not read one of hers that have not transported me into the lives of her characters. I know this one will be no different. That is why I suggest that anyone who loves to fall into a character's life that you get your copy of EPIC by Adrienne Wilder.

Note this is book contains M/M content and is for Adults Only

Andrew Atler has learned the hard way, fiction is far better than real life. In his romance novels the world is safe, predictable, and there is always a happy ending. Best of all, he can safely fall in love and the person will never know. There he can weave a tale of perfect passion plus pay the bills.

Matt Grim flies the colors of Hell’s Legion. When he’s not riding his chopper, he’s working as a bouncer for the Six. Matt’s life consists of drinking, playing in a band, and burning the midnight oil in the dungeon. He lives hard, plays hard, and rides even harder.

Two people who would never be a part of the same EPIC love story.
But sometimes those fairy tale clich├ęs have a way of working magic.
And sometimes…sometimes those happy endings do come true.

Flash Fiction Scene - Exhaustion

Sorry for missing last week. The week before was a vacation week and I found myself too exhausted to even think, let alone write a short scene. LOL. I think that is what led to this week’s flash fiction scene.

Hope you enjoy.

Fingers dug into the tender flesh of my back as her massaged my tight shoulders. As he crept down and down, I knew where his little massage would  turn into. Not that I minded a nice round of lovemaking, normally, but then I was almost too exhausted. The late shift had been super busy. Five fires were set and his crew had responded two the two biggest of them.

“Cain,” words whispered across his neck as his lover of five years kissed the base of his neck, sending shards of shivers over his skin.

Looked as his dick had different plans than his body did.

“New that would get you riled up.”

Cain’s hand dipped under his stomach, brushing the tip of his elongating cock.

“You always now, lover.” Truer words had never been spoken. First night they met, had been no different. Robert had walked up to him, grabbed his ass and pulled him into the most sensual dance anyone had ever seen. They still got compliments on it from the regulars at Hot Spots.

“Missed you so much, Baby.”

Cain pushed his ass back, soaking in the heat radiating from his lover’s throbbing cock.

“You want me to leave you be?”

“Hell, no.” Not then at least. Robert had him worked into a frenzy. He was more than ready for a nice long night that drove his exhaustion into complete darkness.

“Good. Going to show you how much I’ve missed you over the last four nights.”

Robert and him both hated the nights he was on twelve hours day shifts. Robert’s club kept him busy at night and Cain was already at work by the time Robert managed to come home.

“Show me, lover.” Cain squirmed until he was on his back and managed to wrap his legs around Robert’s waist. “Make me know who loves me.”

“Always.” Robert claimed his mouth as his hand slipped under his pillow, retrieving the lube they kept stashed.

Flash Fiction Scene – Kick in the Butt

Hope all had an amazing week. Mine was so-so. I did not get nowhere near what I had hoped to do. Mom and dad’s vacation is this week, so time will be short again. I hope I still managed to fit in some editing and writing time. Least editing time. I need a kick in the butt to get moving on the edits of Collar of Truth, Human-Skinned Books 5. That fact is what led me to this week’s flash fiction scene.

Enjoy and remember:
Let your imagination soar when you read.

I tapped my foot and shot the jerk-wad, no good, lousy maintenance man the best get real face I could get. The dang-gum stove has been messed up for the last two months. Longer than that, but this one particular man had only come to the apartment in the last two months. Four times for the same damn thing. It should be clear to him that he can’t fix it and I need a new stove.

“Let’s see if that gets it fixed.” He wiped his forehead. “If not . . .”
What he’d final receive the kick in his ass that he needed. Doubtful, but I could wish. “Thanks. Sorry for bothering you again, but . . .” Right. I’d keep calling about the same issue long enough the dip-wad will get the point and replace the stove.

“No, I understand how difficult it would be to cook for three people on three small burners.”
The door opened and the dog wiggled for freedom. “Hey, babe . .. Oh, sorry didn’t know you had . . . stove again?”

“I’m sure it’s fixed this time.” The maintenance guy stepped around Ted and tossed a goodbye over his shoulder.

“Yeah, that dick couldn’t fix it if his life depended on it.” Ted kissed me on the cheek and took the doggie from me. “Hey there, little fellow. You protecting my woman for me?”

“Course he is.” I leaned into Ted for a kiss, but ended up with a lick to the cheek from my little protector.

“You home early.”

“Sure am. Got you a surprise.”

“Who else.”

“What is it?”

“Go look on the back of my truck.”

I rushed out the door, coming to a sudden halt when I saw a nice shiny black electric stove. “Really? You got me one . . . will they let me use my own?”

“They best. I can’t take it back.” He grinned. “Now, if you take me up on my offer and move in with me, I’ll set the entire kitchen up for you.”

Ted would. He’d been bribing me with small gifts for the last four months, trying his damnest to get me to move in with him, but I like being on my own.

“Call and ask them if I can move it in and them come get their piece of crap.”

“Okay.” I yanked my phone from my pocket and dialed the apartment office.
