Hi,
This week, I wasn’t
really inspired by anything, other than my fingers flying across the keyboard.
I had no clue where they would lead, but it felt like heaven to sit down in one
of my local Starbucks and let my mind
expand into its own realm of relaxation and freedom.
Hope you guys enjoy this
week’s flash fiction.
Remember let your
imagination soar when you read.

Tap. Tap. Tap. It was
driving him crazy. Why did Rebecca have to flick that freaking pen all the
time. Did she not realize tehre was others around who created best with
silence? She had to. She’s been asked, over a thousand times, to stop. Did she
respect the other? Course not.
“You okay, Seth?”
No. “Yes, Sir.”
“Then why is your lower
lips bleeding.”
Seth wiped his lips and
stared down at the faint trace of blood. Shoot, he’d been nipping his lip
again. A pesky habit of aggravation.
“Pen getting to you
again?”
“No, Sir.”
Did his boss expect him
to admit how much his other co-worker was driving him up the wall while doing
nothing but creating. Rebecca was one of the top sketchers for Travis Dunmore,
a genius game creator.
“I can still move you
across the way.”
Why did his boss keep
offering to move him? Kind of him, but there was no way he was giving up his
perfect view into his boss’s office. The man had one hell of a body to inspire,
and fill, every second of Seth’s fantanises. Nope. He was not giving up his
wonderful view over some lousy tapping.
“I’m fine, Sir.”
“If it becomes too much,”
his boss leaned in a bit closer, turning the sketch Seth spent the last hour
perfecting around. Seth couldn’t help the deep breath he took. “let me know.
I’ll make sure you have the best view.”
“Best view?” Seth
squeaked out.
“Yep. How about the desk
behind my office?”
Crap. His boss’s office
sat in the middle of the office space and consisted of nothing but glass
walls.
“Want to take me up on
the offer?”
Offer? Eight hours of
watching his boss’s back, seeing his ass each time he stood. Course he wanted
that. Could he answer and not sound like some twisted stalker? Didn’t matter if
he could have or not. His mouth worked quicker than his logical brain.
“I’d love that.”
“Great.” His boss’s
breath brushed over his cheek as he leaned back. “I’ll make it happen. The area
does have a great view. You might want to check it out in person before you
make your final decision.”
Seth gasped, looking up
in time to see his boss’s lick his lower lip. “Interested in doing so?”
Boy was he, but he
doubted his boss meant the same thing his mind conjured up.
“All you have to do is
say yes.”
“Yes.”
“Good then. I’ll show you
personally.” His boss stepped back, grinning. “Don’t have time right now, how
about you stop by about seven.”
Seven? No one would be
around then. Everyone left at 6m even him.
“Seven, Sir.”
“Yes. Going to be here
and see the view?”
“Yes, Sir.”
