Photo Flash Fiction

Hi,
Hope all had a couple of great weeks. This week I chose a photo to write a scene based off of. Hope you all enjoy it and let your imagination soar when you read.

Rave’s legs should have given away. He should have fainted. Screamed. Ran. Something. Anything other than stand there and stare into the dark, dreamy eyes of a lion. Yes, a lion. Full on mane with large sharp teeth. Not that he saw those teeth, but he didn’t have to, to know they were there. What kept him rooted in place was the shards of clothes that clung to the lion’s body. Yep. It was the light blue silk shirt that he’d bought Rex last Christmas. And Rex’s freshly pressed, tattered dress pants that laid around the lion’s massive legs. More that that kept Rave in place. His own eyes. He could not dispute what he saw. Nope. No laying it off on being drunk. He’d not drank a drop of liquor in five years. He was high on weed. Not smoked a joint since he was in high school. Nope. He was his normal down to earth self. Had came into his lover’s house like any other night of the week and sat down beside him to decide what to eat for supper while they watched the basketball game. Except . . . wasn’t any other night. Nope.
Rex had told him he had to tell him a secret. Before Rave got ready to absorb something bad his lover had moved to the corner of the room and became a fucking huge lion. Yep. Lion. That’s what had him springing to his feet and what managed to keep him there, until reality hit.
“Rex? What . . . Rex? Is that . . . Shit!”
Soft hands cushioned the back of his head before it slammed into the glass coffee table.
“Rave, babe, you okay?”
“Okay?” Was his . . . Shit. He had been fucking a lion. “Damn.” He ran his hand over his face. “I’m fine.”
“Let me get you on the couch then I will . . .”
“Will what? Go back to being a lion?”
“No.” Rex groaned. “Unless you want me to.”
“No.”
“Then I will sit beside you, if that’s okay.”
“Think you might need to. I need to understand what I . . . what you . . . Hell, did you just transform into a fucking lion?”
“Yes.”
“Explain.”
