Garry shoved his hands in his pocket, cursing his parents and their heritage. They never understood him. Not shocking. He wasn’t like them, or his two brothers, and his baby sister. He was a speck of brown goop on a thin piece of hay buried among a huge pile of hay. And they never let him forget it.

Today had been no different. Why had he thought it would be? It was only a major milestone in his life. Unlike his brother and sister, his slim panther went into heat every three months. The heat didn’t arrive until the age of twenty-one, and it wasn’t an easy period for an Omega Panther. Worse on those who are not claimed by anyone. Not only did the Omega Panther suffer went a constant urge to mate while his heat was on him, but if they had no mate they had to find a partner that was willing to take a chance on impregnating them. That wasn’t easy.

When an Omega Panther wasn’t in heat they had a line of men at their doors. Natural order of things among the Panther World. Why wasn’t it. After all, how else would other panthers find their mate. The signs did not appear until you were locked together. Then it was said to be like a pop of magic bursting through your skin, and throwing the Alpha, or beta, and on a rare occasion a Gama into a rut. His brother told him it was like a moment of pure bliss for the stronger panther, but for those Omega Panthers, it wasn’t fun. His brother swore that when the mate recognized his soul mate he lost himself to the drive to claim him. Worse, his brother told him the stronger panther cared little about what the Omega Panther wanted.

“You in there, Garry.”

Garry curled his knees into his chest and buried his head in his chest. He wasn’t about to open the door to anyone. He didn’t care if his body screamed for him to screw a monkey for relief. He did not want some strong ass panther taking him until his heat had by passed him. Nope. He wasn’t going to risk getting pregnant. Men did not do such.

“Come on, Garry. I know you are in there.”

Human men didn’t at least. Nope. Only strange, weak, powerless Omega Panthers did so. He would not be taken by some brute until his body was limp and sated. Nope. He had control over his panther side.

“Garry, come on, man. I know you are scared.”

Scared? What did Edwards expect from him?

“Open up and let me help you.”

No way. Did Edward think him stupid? There was no way he’d let in a Alpha Panther, even if he’d been his best friend since seventh grade.

“I can control myself. I promise.”

Nope. He wasn’t taking the chance. Not that it would have bothered him to screw Edward any other time, but not during his first heat cycle. Nope. He wanted a simple, get to know you kind of relationship. Not a fuck and imprgenant you then leave your ass to struggle through a pregnancy and raising a cub on your own.

“Listen . . . Garry, I know that you have no one to help you through this, or explain what is happening to you.”

Didn’t matter if he did or not. There was no way he was opening the door.

“I brought someone that can explain what to expect and how to ease your panther.”

“You serious?” Garry didn’t bother to yell or anything, he knew Edward would hear him through the walls.

“Yes, man. You know Darren Kites?”

He did. Man was nice and always willing to assist anyone who was struggling with any type of math. “He’s an Omega?”

“Yes.”

“You leave us be?”

“I’ll go and stay downstairs until you and him have discussed things.”

“Then stay away if I ask you to?”

Garry heard Edward sighed, but the soft yes that slipped free of him eased a huge part of Garry’s throbbing heart. He didn’t need to see Edward to know that his head hung low and his fist were clinched. It was Edward’s natural reaction to anything he disliked, and he knew his best friend would be displeased about being asked to leave him be. Course he would. He was an Alpha Panther near a Omega Panther that was in heat.

“I’m leaving.”

Garry uncurled from the painful ball he’d squashed himself into and moved to his front door. He opened it a tiny bit, but left the safety chain in place.

“It’s just me, Garry.”

He shut the door and unchained the door, opening it for Darren. “Come in.”

“Going to tell you right up front, what you’ve been told is not true.”

“What? How do you . . .” Edward. “He had no right to . . .” Course he would tell Darren what he knew. He was his best friend. He had begged him to find an Omega Panther to talk to since the night they’d gotten drunk and he let his deepest fear slip from his lips. That night things had changed between them. Not in a bad way. Nope. They’d became closer. Spent more time together. Nothing sexual, but there been times that Garry would have loved for Edward to take him in the most natural manner of a panther, but he’d never showed interest in him, so Garry kept his desires to himself.

“He’s worried about you.”

“He’s an Alpha Panther.”

“Yes, but what you’ve been told is incorrect.”

“What . . . My mom said . . .” would she have lied to him? Surely not. His father told him the same thing. So had his brother. Did they all lie to him. “My mom, dad, and brother - -“

“Your family are what you would call Alpha Controlled.”

“Huh?”

“It’s a family who believes they are above anyone else. I bet they have never been around a Beta, or Gama, have they?”

“No. That would . . .” Crap. Darren was right. All his family, right down to his grandparents viewed anyone other than another Alpha as lower class. “Is that why . . .”

“Most Alpha Controlled families kill any child born below their Alpha Status. Most view it as a disgrace for one of their children to be born something other than Alpha. In fact, very few of the Alpha Controlled families give birth to anything other than Alpha. There’s something about their blood that breeds nothing but Alpha. Those who bare children other than Alphas take it as an offense against their lives. View it as they did something wrong in their life and have to make amends for it. That’s why most kill the child they view as defected. Those who let their non-alpha children live usually feed them lies and treat them like shit.”

Fit his family like a tee. Neither of his parnts every gave him praises, came to watch him in events in school, or took him to any gathering. He was always left behind with a baby sitter. Still, . . . how could his family openling lie to him about what he would go through. If they had then . . .

“That’s why Edward did not knock the door down?”

“I assume you were told that an Alpha next to an in heat Omega Panther would tear through anything to get to him. Right?”

“Basically.”

“Did that happen?”

“No, but surely . . . Edward has always had great control over his panther.”

“True, but if what your family said was right then why did Nitro not rush across the hall the moment your scent penetrated the airwaves.”

Crap. He’d forgotten that his neighbor was an Alpha Panther. How come . . . Why hadn’t he . . . he kicked flopped down onto the couch and motionted for Darren to sit. “Think  . . . no, I know I need the truth.”

“I’ll make it quick and let you get to easing the distress that is wearing at you.”

“That would  be great.” He was barely controlling his urges for relief. Looked as if he’d spend his first heat cycle with his hand. Nothing more than he’d expected, but at least he’d know if he had to keep himself locked away until it passed.

Rex picked up a stray sock and shoved it into his closest. His mom never looked under the beds or in the closets. He hoped Kale’s didn’t. He thought he’d been nervous when he turned thirteen and went through his Development Rite of Passage. His dad had put a lot of pressure on him to chose the demon skill of foreteller. There had not been a son in the Hackler’s family, which had made each male to push their sons to learn the family skill. It had  been a no-brainer for him, but Rex still feared that the rare chance that the Devil himself would come from the Underworld and chose for him. It did not happen much, but every once in a while the Devil chose a lucky, or unluky, soul to gain the skills set he need for his future army. Every one he chose had a birthday on the 4th of July, which happened to be his.

“Rex, honey, you with me?”

Rex shook his head. “Sorry, my mind was wondering down memory lane.”

“You going to be okay, baby?”

“Sure.”

Rex hadn’t met Kale’s family yet, even thought they’d been together for two years. Kale’s family had a hard time coping when their son came out to them. Rex’s family had taken Kale into their bosom and treated him like they would have any in-law their daughter, or son chose. The first time his mom met Kale she’d swooped him into a huge hug and promised to take care of him until her dying last breath. She had. So had the rest of his family. Their death fell on his head. He’d known that one day his past jobs would catch up to him and they had.

Five months ago, one of Amaymon’s son took offense to him being charged with stepping out on his wife. It wasn’t a major crime, but his wife took him to the cleaners when she filed for divorce. Divorce wasn’t something taken lightly among the Demon World, which meant Amaymon’s son had disgraced his family’s name. The Amaymon’s family was looked up to since Amaymon was the King of the South. Rex assumed the disgrace was why Amaymon’s son came tracked him down. He’d been on another assignment and Amaymon’s son decided to take his revenge out on Kale. His ultimate downfall was when he attacked Kale when he was at his in-laws. His mother and sister had been the only ones at home with him and they attacked back, protecting their family member. They had ultimately lost their lives. Kale might have lost his, if Rex’s father and brothers had not arrived to eliminate the threat. Too damn bad they’d been a few minutes late.

Kale had tried to make amends for the last five months, which was why Rex found himself meeting his in-laws for the first time. Kale hoped his family had came to terms with his choice to spend his life with a man. Rex had told him over and over that it was not necessary, but his lover wanted to do something that would give him a mother back.

Rex feared his in-laws would reject him and hurt his husband’s feelings. If that happened, Rex would not be held responsible for what he did to them. No one could get by with harming his husband, not even his own family.

“They are here.”

Great. Rex took a deep breath and cleared his mind. Open mind. That was how he would greet Kale’s family. Just like Kale had met his.

Hank’s arm was red and soar from the continuously rubbing. What was he to do? He’d asked Rex to meet him here to tell him his deepest, darkest secret, and found himself unable to move. How was he suppose to talk to his best friend. His lover of five years. His time was up. The Lord of his Clan demanded he either chose Rex as his forever man, or kick him to the curve. Last wasn’t an option and he wasn’t so keen on settling down. It had never been in his mind when he met Rex. All that had been was taking care of the man who had been abandoned and broken hearted by some dickwad.

“Hey.” Rex hugged him tight and took the seat across from him. “Nice to see you tonight.”

“Sure is.” Hank rarely saw Rex during the week. Most of the time his job as the enforcer for his Clan kept him busy during the week.

“So . . .” Rex nodded to the waitress as she walked up. “Coffee, black, please.” The petite lady nodded and rushed back behind the bar. “Scardie woman.”

“You cause everyone to get tongue tied.” Hank liked that fact about Rex. He was unaware of how gergous he was and what kind of effect he had on others. Each step the man made turned heads. He had the perfect sandy-brown wavy hair that hung just over his shoulders and felt as baby soft as a newborn’s skin.

“So, what’s brought up this unexpected visit?” Rex waited until the waitress sat his drink down and left the table. “I mean . . . I like seeing you whenever I can, but you are the one who set the weekend only rule.”

He had been. It had been his way of them remaining separate, but it had did little to keep him from getting attached to the beauty, which is why he found himself in the position he was in. he could still hear his Clan Officiantor ordering him to either tell him, or dump him. That had been his words. Harsh as they were, there was no other way to put what had to have been done. He knew the rules when he got involved with a human. He was no different than any other of his clan members. Rules were there for the race’s overall protection.

“Have to tell you something.” Hank shook his head when Rex went to take his hand. It wasn’t until that minute that he knew what he was going to do. It wasn’t until then that he realized how fearful he was of settling down. So much that he would risk . . . The words he never thought would cross his lips were out of them before he could take his next breath. “We need to see other people.”

Rave’s legs should have given away. He should have fainted. Screamed. Ran. Something. Anything other than stand there and stare into the dark, dreamy eyes of a lion. Yes, a lion. Full on mane with large sharp teeth. Not that he saw those teeth, but he didn’t have to, to know they were there. What kept him rooted in place was the shards of clothes that clung to the lion’s body. Yep. It was the light blue silk shirt that he’d bought Rex last Christmas. And Rex’s freshly pressed, tattered dress pants that laid around the lion’s massive legs. More that that kept Rave in place. His own eyes. He could not dispute what he saw. Nope. No laying it off on being drunk. He’d not drank a drop of liquor in five years. He was high on weed. Not smoked a joint since he was in high school. Nope. He was his normal down to earth self. Had came into his lover’s house like any other night of the week and sat down beside him to decide what to eat for supper while they watched the basketball game. Except . . . wasn’t any other night. Nope.
Rex had told him he had to tell him a secret. Before Rave got ready to absorb something bad his lover had moved to the corner of the room and became a fucking huge lion. Yep. Lion. That’s what had him springing to his feet and what managed to keep him there, until reality hit.
“Rex? What . . . Rex? Is that . . . Shit!”
Soft hands cushioned the back of his head before it slammed into the glass coffee table.
“Rave, babe, you okay?”
“Okay?” Was his . . . Shit. He had been fucking a lion. “Damn.” He ran his hand over his face. “I’m fine.”
“Let me get you on the couch then I will . . .”
“Will what? Go back to being a lion?”
“No.” Rex groaned. “Unless you want me to.”
“No.”
“Then I will sit beside you, if that’s okay.”
“Think you might need to. I need to understand what I . . . what you . . . Hell, did you just transform into a fucking lion?”
“Yes.”
“Explain.”

You would’ve thought my entire body would have tensed the moment a trendle of awareness crept to life. Anyone else might have attacked, but my wolf knew who created the feather like sensation. Jacob.
He’d been gone on assignment for four months. No a single word had floated down to me about where he went, or who he went after. I cursed each time the alpha sent him on a downlow mission. I knew it was his job when I chose him as my mate, but my wolf and human side despised not being at his side, ensuring he was safe and sound.
“I know you’re awake, Bobby.” Warm air brushed across the base of my spine. “I’ve dreamed about you every night.”
I sighed as his body weight came to rest over my back.
“Need you, love.”
“I’m yours.”
A small sting of pressure caused my dick to spring to life.
“Going to take you rough.”
“Please.” My ass lifted, coming in contact with his dripping cock. “Please. Jacob. Please.”
That must have been all my love of ten years needed, because next thing I knew he’d breached my ring, taking me in one fluid motion, coming to a stop the moment his hips rested against my ass. The dry entrance increased my desire ten fold.
“Ready, lover?”
My answer was to push up into him. That was the only thing Jacob needed to start his hard and fast pace. I knew it would be a short round of love making, but it was just what we both needed.

I straighten the wrinkles out of my shirt, cursing Ralph for tugging on the hem of it. It was the first time that Lord Jayhem did more than glance my way. I’d came to the club every night he was schedule to make an appearance. Couple of times when I knew he’d be in his upstairs office, one full of floor to ceiling window.
“Would you care to join me?” Lord Jayhem offered me his slimline hand.
I place mine in his, reveling in how it swallowed mine. I knew he was huge, but never considered his hunky, broad shoulders, and seven foot would extend to his hands.
Lord Jayhem shifted his glance to Ralph, who stood there with his mouth open. “I promise to bring him back to you in one piece.”
“Oh . . . I . . . Never . . .”
I silently cursed Ralph for his stuttering. All he should have done was nod, then scurried from the building, ensuring I did not have to be brought back to him.
“Keep him.”
Ralph winked at me, then nodded at Lord Jayhem. “I have no say over him. He’s all yours.”
That I hoped to be. For more than one night. I doubted that would happen, but Lord Jayhem was well known for taking a lover once or twice then discarding them. I knew this, but it never detoured me from longing to be his. My dream. My life depended on it. I wasn’t sure why, but my gut twisted every time I saw him. My father taught me to listen to it, and the only other time I had felt that deep etching for a man was when I fell head over heals for Dave. I had him for thirteen years before he ran across his Lifelong Partner. The one every vampire longed to find. The one made just for you. Getting over Dave had been hard, but I never once despised him. I knew that chance of one of us finding such was good.
“You with me?”
I looked up, locking my eyes onto his glowing red ones. Those eyes that had first drew me to him. There was never a night that I had not dreamed of him staring me down with them as he fucked me into the mattress.
“Cal?”

“Always.” Truer words had never been spoken.

Last day of the A to Z April Blogging Challenge 2016

Hi,
For those of you visiting my blog this is day 26, the last day of the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Today’s corresponding letter is “Z” Today I chose the names Zac and Zabel. Zac is a pretty common name, but Zabel caught my attention because it is a different take on the name Isabel.
Hope you all have enjoyed this month’s post. I know I have enjoyed the writing and gotten many ideas from the names I’ve used. If my imagination takes off on a few of these I’ll be thrilled. If not, then I hope at least one or two of you fellow writers who visited might gain some spark.
Enjoy today’s post and remember to let your imagination soar when you read.
Have a great day.

Zabel pushed the stray twig of hair behind her ear. The ear he loved to nibble on while curled up watching a movie. There’d been few of those nights as of late. His internship kept him busy, just like her new baker did her. They were due for a long weekend away, just the two of them.
“Zac,” Zabel threw the paper at him, “are you listening to me?”
He shook his head and grinned. “Your beauty is distracting me.” I stood and moved so I stood over here. “What was my woman going on about when she should’ve been in my lap giving me some attention.”
“Attention! I think that’s what got us into the situation I was telling you about.”
Her words had me taking a couple of steps back. Those words stung him, but he knew the two of them hadn’t been in an argument recently, they’ not seen each other much. Last time they’d both been off work for an entire day they’d spent it in bed. Ignored the phone and all. He got a chewing out from his mom over that, until he told her that if they didn’t spend time together she’d never get grandchildren. Not that the two of them where worried too much about having kids. They were both so busy it was unreal.
“I said . . .” she held her hand, “look.”
He glanced down at the long slender plastic stick. “What’s . . . Oh my! Really?”
“Yes, your mom’s getting her wish.”
“Shit! Shoot. I can’t be cussing anymore.” He dropped to his knees and laid a hand over her flat belly. “We’re having a kid?”
“We are.”

Day 25 of the A to Z April Blogging Challenge 2016

Hi,
For those of you visiting my blog this is day 25 of the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Today’s corresponding letter is “Y” Today I chose the names Yura and Yuri. There were fewer names on the site I used for Y, which surprised me a bit after finding so many names for X yesterday. The choices I had also made coming up with a scene a bit difficult for me. Hope you enjoy it.

I wanted to smack the grin off of Yuri’s face. He always gave the same one corner, goofy expression when he knew he had one over on me. It was the third time in a week I’d seen it and it was way beyond old.
“Might as well spill whatever you know that I don’t.”
“Would I keep something form you, Yura?”
“Yes.”
Yuri shrugged and tossed him a small index card size piece of paper covered in plastic. “What’s this?”
“Take a look and tell me what you see.”
I glanced down and the world tilted. Hell, I reached out to grab ahold of the wooden phone stand beside me. There was no way I was seeing what I saw. It was here. The angelic face we’d not seen in five years. The sweet sexy child-bearing hips I’d dreamed of for 1,825 days.
“Where did you find this?” I flipped the plastic covered newspaper article over.
“Buddy of mine clipped it and mailed it to me. He wasn’t sure if it was our Lizzy or not. He wouldn’t even tell me what he was sending me, just told me to take a look and let him know. I thought he sent me another start up venture idea.”
“She’s not changed much.”
“Nope.” Yuri came to my side and pointed at the caption under the photo. “Was taken one week ago when my friend was in Paris.”
“What’s she doing there?” she belonged at our side.
“Not sure. Not sure if she’s still there or not.”
“You got this friend of yours checking it out?”
“Course. Also bought us two open tickets for when he returns my call.”
“Great.” I ran my finger over the photo. “I don’t care why she ran from us, just that she’s safe and being taken care of.”
“Me to, Yura. Me too.”

Day 24 of the A to Z April Blogging Challenge 2016

Hi,
For those of you visiting my blog this is day 24 of the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Today’s corresponding letter is “X” Today I chose the names Xanto and Xana. When looking for the names with X I assumed there would be a limited number. Proved the saying Assuming Makes an Ass out of you. There was way more than I dreamed possible. Most had some very unique meaning, which in this case is how I came up with the scene.

“You can’t name our children Blond and Blondy.”
“The hell I can’t. I gave birth to them. You sure didn’t squeeze them out from a tiny hole. When you do, you can name them.”
“Please, sweetie, don’t curse our children with those names. Find . . . Alternate names.”
“He’s right, darling.”
I whipped my head towards my mother and fronwed. “What other names fit their amazing hair color. Her golden hair and his bright blond hair needs rewarding. It’s a family trait, one I’ve not heard of since great-grandpa.”
“I know, darling, but he wasn’t named blond, was he?”
I shook my head, hating that my mom and husband was right.
“Sweetie, there are all kinds of names that holds the meaning that will fit their amazing hair color.”
“Like what?” I knew my husband hadn’t thought this out and I wanted to see him squirm a bit. Boy what a bad mistake on my part.
“Xanto and Xana.”
The I got you grin he wore made me want to smack him upside the head. If he had already found names that honored my family trait why hadn’t he told me.
“I know, sweetie, I’m in big trouble.”
“You are, but tell me what they mean and see if you can dig yourself out of it.”
“Xanto means blond haired. Xana means golden hair.”
I stared down at my little girl and she wiggled her little fist, making me smile at her. I touched her little cheek and said, “Is your name Xana?”
“Sounds as if she agrees, darling.”
My mom was right; the cute cooing was all the answer I needed.
“You named your children, you’re out of the doghouse.”

“There you two are.”
Willie glanced up and saw Jonas striding up. Walter automatically scooted closer to him. The action was small enough no one would have recognized it for what it was. Walter staking his claim. There was no real reason for him to do so. They’d been a couple for the last ten years, but Jonas and him had dated for a half of year before he met Walter. Him remaining close friends with Jonas bothered Walter, but he never demanded him to stop hanging around him. Willie did honor his wish of the two of them limiting how much one-on-one time he had with Jonas. When Walter asked him that Willie was pissed about Walter thinking he’d stray on him, but after they discussed the reasoning behind it he understood Walter’s point a bit better.
“Thought you two were going to the Jamboree last night.”
“Worked late.” Walter pointed at him.
“What?” Willie flicked a peanut shell at Jonas when he rolled his eyes. “I can’t help there was a ten car pile-up on the freeway.”
“Yeah, any excuse.” Jonas took the empty spot beside Walter. “What have I missed?”
“Nothing.” He waved at the red wigged clown running around the horse ring. “Like normal they are entraining us with some goofy clowns while they wrangle the cowboys.”
“May I?” a tall hunk of meat of a man walked up on Jonas’ left.
Willie almost chuckled when Jonas leaned his head up, taking in every small aspect of the giant requesting to sit beside him. Didn’t take Jonas but a second to nod at the man, who gracefully, for such a big man, sat down next to him.
Willie wrapped his arms around Walter and leaned in and whispered, “Think Jonas has an admiring.”
Jonas must have heard him, or knew him well enough to know what he was saying, because he shot him a bird. The newcomer laughed at them and then said, “Best friends or family?”
“Is there a difference?” Willie lifted an eyebrow at the man.
“Not to me. Some think so.”
“Not us.” Jonas pointed to Walter and him. “These two love-birds are my family no matter what others believe about blood making family.”

“Good to know.” The man leaned closer to Jonas and said, “Good to know they are no competition for your sexy body.”

He glared at his brother instead of slapping him upset the head. He doubted their future woman would take kindly to seeing two identical grown men behaving like pesky children. Vince had done enough of that by barging up to the sexy little red head and openly telling her she belonged to them.
Van was sure it took all the red head woman’s patients to keep from slapping Vince. Van would’ve decked a stranger bold enough to tell him such. Yet, straight forwardness was Vince’s way. It always led them into trouble, but then . . . Well, it brought more than either of them was prepared for.
Their red headed mate wasn’t human like Van and his brother assumed. Nope. Fates had paired the twins with a true fire blazing woman. In every sense of the word. Their little woman wasn’t so little in her hidden form. Dragons never was, especially the ones who had the ability to set an entire state on fire with a sneeze.
Van did like how fast the short burst of flames had Vince jumping left and then back about twenty feet. Or he did until the lick of flame landed a mere two feet from his own feet. Then again, the simple shoulder shrug from his woman eased away his displeasure at Vince’s stupidity almost getting him zapped.
The red headed woman propped her hands on her hips and quirked an eyebrow. “Care to restate your comment.”
Vince glanced up at him with a small plea in his eyes. Van sighed and did what he did best, pulled his twin’s butt out of the pig pin.
“Miss . . .” Van held his hand out, “My names’ Van. The idoit with no grace is my twin Vince.”
The woman snorted and nodded at him. “Idoit is one word I’d use for him.”
“I could give you a bunch more if you want to grab a cup of coffee.”
“Hey!” Vince brushed off his pants.
“Did he mean what he so rudely said?”
Van looked back at his brother and then back to the woman. “We can tell you are our third.”
“What’s that mean?”
“It means . . .” Vince stopped talking when she pointed a finger at him.
“Cool. I’ve been trying to find a way to shut his trap since he began talking.” Van smiled at his brother, taking the sting of his words away.
“Then I may give you some pointers as well.”
“I’ll gladly take them. As for your question, have you never met a set of twin shifters before?”
“Nope. Didn’t grow up knowing about my true self.”
Lots of topic for them to discuss out of that one answer, but his woman deserved her answer first. “Fate gives twin shifters a woman to share, it’s referred to as a triad partnership.”
The deep intake of breath didn’t bode well for them, nod did the red haired woman turning away from them and darting down the sidewalk.
“Way to go.” Vince snapped. “Don’t stand there. Go bring our woman back to us.”
Van sighed and made his way after the red-haired goddess.

Day 21 of the A to Z April Blogging Challenge 2016

Hi,
For those of you visiting my blog this is day 21 of the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Today’s corresponding letter is “U” Today I chose the names Una and Ulf. There were some very unusual male names, but I liked this one because it sparked the idea for the scene.
Enjoy today’s post and remember to let your imagination soar when you read.

How was he supposed to approach a woman he’d never saw before two minutes ago? Oh, he knew about her all his life, but . . . Different didn’t cover what that meant. He’d spent his entire teenage years wondering what taking a girl to the movies would feel like. It wasn’t an option for him and earned him years of snarky comments about his sexual preference. Kind of hard to dispute the claims when he couldn’t tell them to. Oh, he could’ve told them to shove it, because they still had to find the miss perfect, and his had been picked out for him from the day he was born.
“Ulf,” his father squeezed his shoulder, “what bothering you?”
“I don’t know what to do.” He expected his father to laugh, but he didn’t. He gave him the encouraging words he needed.
“Son, I know the feeling. My wolf wasn’t fated to your mother, but she was chosen for me by my father when I was six.”
Ulf had heard the story many times from both his father and grandfather. It wasn’t odd for an Alpha Wolf to choose his son’s mate early in his childhood. Doing so was considered a guarantee that there would be a male child born to the next Alpha in line.
“How did you approach mom?”
“Good question.” His father looked around the area then leaned forward. “I squared my shoulder, stood up tall, plastered a smile over my quivering lips, and walked right up to her and held my hand out.”
“You were nervous?”
“Of course. How could I not be? Like you I’d never interacted with a girl or any kind during my young adult life.” His father tugged him into his side and squeezed him. “All you have to do is walk over and let nature take its course. You two were destined for each other from birth. It was your and her bad luck that you came from two different wolf clans. If that hadn’t been the case, you two would’ve grown up side-by-side.” His father pushed him forward and nodded towards the silky wavy blonde haired woman. “She looks as nervous as you. Get going and ease her mind.”
He took a moment to study her and saw what his father spoke up. Her hands were clinging to her light blue purse straps and she kept bouncing on the balls of her feet. She sucked on her lower lip and scanned the area.
Was she nervous or scared? Maybe a bit of both. If fear, then was it because of meeting a complete stranger or being in a strange area filled with wolves of a different clan than hers? No matter what the case, it was his job to settle her and his inner wolf demanded he quit wasting time and go meet the woman who belonged to them.
Ulf took solid steady steps over to the all leggy woman and cleared his throat when he was near her. She spun around and smiled at him, showing a set of pearly white teeth, but what caught his eyes the most was the bluish-green eyes glowing.
“Hi.”
“Hey. My wolf knows you?”
“Mine knows you as well.” He held his hand out. “Names’ Ulf.”
The moment she put her hand in his, the nerves vanished and the fear of having no idea how to ensure they had a wonderful life together evaporated. All he felt was peace and contentment. Oh, and the need to get her away from all male prying eyes until she bore his wolf mark.

“Names’ Una.”

Hi,
For those of you visiting my blog this is day 20 of the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Today’s corresponding letter is “T” Today I chose the names Tomahawk and Treason. These names may sound unusual, but there are times we forget that people have nicknames that have to be taken into account.

“Tomahawk, you best check-in this minute. I’m not kidding. Sarge isn’t going to like this radio silence.”
Tomahawk reached up and cut the earwig off. He didn’t need the distraction. He had Treason in his line of sight and there was noway he was letting the bastard slip through his fingers this time. Sarge might kick his ass for killing his one connection with the rest of the team, but he would understand when he found out Treason was behind this entire kidnapping.
“How did they know where we stashed the kid?”
A tall man with the born and bred African accent shouted at Treason. Kind of a stupid move on his part. Treason wasn’t keen on being dressed down in private and he liked it less when others were around. It’s what had led to him deserting the Fifth Squad and making a beeline for their biggest enemy. He gave them the layout of the assignment he’d abandon his crew for, leading Fifth Squad into an ambush that costed the life of one of the members.
“You best get the fuck out of my face.” Treason took a step closer to the man who thought he was in-charge, giving Tomahawk the perfect shot.

He checked the wind direction one more time and then pulled the trigger. The hollow point bullet flew dead straight for the side of Treason’s head. Tomahawk would’ve rather had a frontal shot, but he’d take whatever he could get. There was two minutes for him to get back to the gathering point and get his butt chewed in half by Sarge.

Shawn tapped his fingers, hoping his secretary thought he was in deep thought. He doubted he fooled her. Every time Shelly came in to take a memo or give him a message his full attention was drawn to her long slender tanned legs. The woman had model legs that would feel amazing wrapped around him as he pounded her against the wall.
“Will there be anything else, Mr. Hiatt?”
“No, Shelly. Thanks for staying late again tonight.” He wished she’d make some kind of sign that she was interested in him. What was he thinking, he couldn’t get involved with an employee. “Don’t worry about rushing in tomorrow. I’ve got an appointment across town at eight.”
“Yes, sir.” She grinned at him. “You and Mrs. Hiatt meeting with the divorce lawyers again?”
“Yes.”
He would be glad when his future ex-wife would be out of his life. She’d accused him of sleeping with his last secretary. The thought alone of standing next to his ex-employee made his stomach churned. The woman was old enough to be his mother and smelled like baby powders at the end of each long ass work day. Shelly always smelled like roses and chocolate when she arrived at work and by the end of the hours she held a hint of ink and paper, which for some reason turned his dick hard.
“Hope you get good news tomorrow morning and I’ll see you when you arrive. I’ll have your work folders ready for you.”
“Thanks, Shelly.”

Shawn watched her ass sway as she left the office. Soon ass his divorce was final he’d have to see if he’d be seeing if his brother needed a new secretary. If he could get her moved to his brother’s office, then he could make his move on the beautiful blonde who plagued his nightly dreams.

She scooted the chair a bit closer to him, hoping he’d keep his word if trouble broke out. Rose had no idea why Rex wanted to bring her to the worst bar in five towns. It was known for having the law called to it twice a night for drunken brawls.
“Relax, Rose. I won’t let nothing hurt you. Promise.”
“Best not.” She scanned the area, taking note that the place was full of big, burly, men all wearing a black leather coat sporting a bear’s head. “Just what is this place suppose to be, anyway?”
“Bar.”
“Duh.” Sometimes Rose wondered why she bothered to keep seeing Rex. He was a douche with little respect for women. “I was referring to all these biker coats.”
“Hush.” Rex snapped. “Don’t mention them or we will be in trouble.”
“Why would that . . .”
Rex scowled at her and shook his head. Rose knew then it was best if she shut her mouth. Things never boded well for her when he gave her his one raised eyebrow look. Last time she’d see it, she’d ended up with a busted lip.
Rose sat back and lowered her head and placed her hands in her lap. She’d became lost in her own silence when she heard a deep raspy voice.
“Rex.”
“Sir.” Rex sounded tense, and he rarely called anyone sir, which might be why Rose looked up.
“Who’s the lovely lady with you?”
“Rose, Sir.”
“The one you offered us.”
“Offered?” Rose was on her feet and kicked Rex’s chair before she even knew she’d moved. The guy Rex had been talking to took two large steps back. “You offered? What the . . .” Rose threw a punch with all her might, something she’d only done once or twice in her life. Both times had been right after her dad had tried to sell her for sex. The bastard had been a pig and it looked like Rose hadn’t learned her lesson well enough. She’d gone and fallen for another pig, but one difference she could leave this prick whenever she wanted to. She didn’t depend on him for a roof or food. She stepped over Rex and kicked him in the ribs as he doubled over whimpering. “Don’t ever come near me again or you’ll get ten times worse. We clear?”
Rex didn’t answer, but the guy he’d been speaking to did. “Miss Rose, he won’t be able to come near you after we are done with him.”
“What’s that . . . You know, never mind. I’m out.” She tugged her coat on and left without looking back.

Quinn stared down at the little buddle in his arms. He’d never dreamed the day would come that he would be holding a cub that bore his genes. He’d held his nieces and nephews on their days of their birth and it had been an thrilling experiences, but nothing compared to holding Quintavius.
“You going to let us have a go at him?”
“Nope.” Quinn grinned over at his parents. “He’s all mine.”
“Now, wait a minute.” Quad came up to his side and wrapped an arm around him. “Think this little bugger is both of ours.”
He was and Quad knew it, but his lover knew he’d given up on having a child of his own five years ago after the last round of chemo. They had stored some of his sperm for this very moment, but the first two attempts had bombed.
He looked up at Quad and smiled. “Third time is the charm.”

“That is it, lover, that it is.”

She saw it, but couldn’t believe it. Nate’s dark navy socks stuck out from the bottom of the sheet, while he knelt under the sheet. Worse part  of the entire scene was the thick red headed woman moaning. Neither appeared to be aware of her presents, which ticked her off more than walking in and finding Nate fucking some bimbo in their bed.
She grunted and the woman’s eyes flew open and she scurried towards the headboard.
“What’s wrong, sw - -?” Nate’s muffled voice died when he saw her standing in the doorway.
“Nancy . . . I can - -“
“Don’t bother.” She spun and walked into the closest. Threw some clothes in a bag and then threw the bag at him. “Get the fuck out of here.”
“What?”
“Get. The. Fuck. Out. Of. Here.”
“Why? This is our place.”
“Hold up,” the red headed woman reached over the bed and snatched up her shirt. “you told me this was your place.”
“He did, did he.” Nancy picked up the leggings and tossed them in the woman’s face. “Well, let me in on the truth. The bastard you were just getting ate by is my husband of five years. He took me in that bed last night.”
“Nancy.”
“Don’t Nancy me. I think I told you to get out of here.”
“I won’t leave my house.”

“Sorry, mister, but the house is in my name and I say you go.” Nancy picked up Nate’s shoed and tossed them at him. “You’ve got five minutes before I call the law.”

Matt bit his lower lip as Marie walked into the Blush Lagoon, wearing her typical daisy duke shorts and red cowboy boots. Blush Lagoon wasn’t an upscale restaurant, more of a bar with a renowned chef, who found the high priced for small amount of food a shame.  Mitch loved to eat from the time he was born, so he went off to some fancy school and learned all the fancy techniques and landed the perfect job offer, only to turn it down. Matt’s father and his mother always told him and Mitch that to be identical twins they sure were total opposites. Mitch loved to cook and could care less about money as long as people had their bellies full. Him on the other hand, he was all about the money and had gone off to get his Medical Licenses. He was the top dog among plastic surgeons, but he always came a visiting his small hometown when Mitch and Marie called him home.
“Hey you.” Marie grinned at him. “When you’d get in?”
“Two hours ago.” He slid over and let Marie slide in the booth.
“Guess that’s why Mitch called me over.”
“It was.” Mitch wiped his hands on the white apron he wore. “Dum-wit here came in took his seat and didn’t even bother to let me know he arrived.”
“Seems like you knew.” Matt held his hand out to his twin. “You called our woman.” Marie was the third in their Alpha Triad. Matt spend most of the time with her, since they both preferred the small town life to the city.
“Saw you sitting her sipping a beer when I sat a plate in the window.” Mitch caressed Marie’s face. “You tell him, babe.”
“Tell me what?”
“Just got here.” Marie scooted further into the booth, pressing her long body against his.
Matt wrapped his arm around her and kissed her cheek. He missed her so much when he was away.
“Bout time he knew.” Mitch leaned his elbows on the table. “He has to start preparing his move.”
“My move?” Matt wasn’t following, only reason he’d be moving was if . . . “You’re pregnant?”
Marie’s grin said it all.
Matt sealed his lips over hers and refused to stop kissing her until both of them ran out of breath.
“Damn,” Mitch whispered. “Bro, I think you just spiked the temperature in this room about twenty degrees.”
He might have. He sure did increase Marie’s heartrate. He could feel it beating ten times faster. “When did you find out?”
“Two days ago.”
“I’ve got lots to do.” Understatement and half. He’d promised both of them that he’d give up his work in the city when she became pregnant. He didn’t want to miss a moment of his child’s birth.
