“There you two are.”
Willie glanced up and saw Jonas striding up. Walter automatically scooted closer to him. The action was small enough no one would have recognized it for what it was. Walter staking his claim. There was no real reason for him to do so. They’d been a couple for the last ten years, but Jonas and him had dated for a half of year before he met Walter. Him remaining close friends with Jonas bothered Walter, but he never demanded him to stop hanging around him. Willie did honor his wish of the two of them limiting how much one-on-one time he had with Jonas. When Walter asked him that Willie was pissed about Walter thinking he’d stray on him, but after they discussed the reasoning behind it he understood Walter’s point a bit better.
“Thought you two were going to the Jamboree last night.”
“Worked late.” Walter pointed at him.
“What?” Willie flicked a peanut shell at Jonas when he rolled his eyes. “I can’t help there was a ten car pile-up on the freeway.”
“Yeah, any excuse.” Jonas took the empty spot beside Walter. “What have I missed?”
“Nothing.” He waved at the red wigged clown running around the horse ring. “Like normal they are entraining us with some goofy clowns while they wrangle the cowboys.”
“May I?” a tall hunk of meat of a man walked up on Jonas’ left.
Willie almost chuckled when Jonas leaned his head up, taking in every small aspect of the giant requesting to sit beside him. Didn’t take Jonas but a second to nod at the man, who gracefully, for such a big man, sat down next to him.
Willie wrapped his arms around Walter and leaned in and whispered, “Think Jonas has an admiring.”
Jonas must have heard him, or knew him well enough to know what he was saying, because he shot him a bird. The newcomer laughed at them and then said, “Best friends or family?”
“Is there a difference?” Willie lifted an eyebrow at the man.
“Not to me. Some think so.”
“Not us.” Jonas pointed to Walter and him. “These two love-birds are my family no matter what others believe about blood making family.”

“Good to know.” The man leaned closer to Jonas and said, “Good to know they are no competition for your sexy body.”
