Day 15 of the A to Z April Blogging Challenge 2016

Hi,
For those of you visiting my blog this is day 15 of the A to Z Blogging Challenge. Today’s corresponding letter is “O” Today I chose the names Olena and Orton. These names are a bit unusual, which is what drew me to them.
Enjoy today’s post and remember to let your imagination soar when you read.
Have a great day.

He couldn’t believe it. He’d spent forty years looking for his other half and she’d been right under his nose for the last twenty years. How had they never ran into one another? More importantly, how did he get her attention. She was a ray of sunshine that would light the darkest day.
“Orton,” Rave his best friend salpped him on the back. “you going to stare at her all day or go over and introduce yourself.”
“huh?”
“I can tell she’s your other half.”
“How?”
“Your face is all gooey looking and you’ve been staring at her for the last five minutes and missed the entire battle plan layout.”
Shoot, he’d forgotten their reason for being in town. Rave had the right to punch him out for endangering the entire squard by him being distracted.
“Go on man. Get your fix of her and then meet back up headquarters to get briefed.”
“Sure thing.” Orton walked away mumbling a bye to the other three guys. He heard them chuckle, but his full attention was on the wondrous blonde mere feet away from him.
“Hi.” He said when he came up to her side.
“Hey.” She smiled at him. “Can I help you with something?”
Boy could she, but first he had to get her name. “I saw you from across the street and . . .” Wow what a lame come on he was about to give, but his mind was blank on what else to say.
“And you what?”
“Wanted to ask your name.”
“Olena.”
Fit perfect, she’d be the light in his darkness, if he could get his mouth to work right.
“Beautiful name. Would you mind getting a cup of coffee with me?”
She ran her eyes over him a couple of times then tossed her head toward the small shop behind her. “Let’s go.”

  1. I have a feeling they'll be moving beyond that cup of coffee in short order. :)
