He glared at his brother instead of slapping him upset the head. He doubted their future woman would take kindly to seeing two identical grown men behaving like pesky children. Vince had done enough of that by barging up to the sexy little red head and openly telling her she belonged to them.
Van was sure it took all the red head woman’s patients to keep from slapping Vince. Van would’ve decked a stranger bold enough to tell him such. Yet, straight forwardness was Vince’s way. It always led them into trouble, but then . . . Well, it brought more than either of them was prepared for.
Their red headed mate wasn’t human like Van and his brother assumed. Nope. Fates had paired the twins with a true fire blazing woman. In every sense of the word. Their little woman wasn’t so little in her hidden form. Dragons never was, especially the ones who had the ability to set an entire state on fire with a sneeze.
Van did like how fast the short burst of flames had Vince jumping left and then back about twenty feet. Or he did until the lick of flame landed a mere two feet from his own feet. Then again, the simple shoulder shrug from his woman eased away his displeasure at Vince’s stupidity almost getting him zapped.
The red headed woman propped her hands on her hips and quirked an eyebrow. “Care to restate your comment.”
Vince glanced up at him with a small plea in his eyes. Van sighed and did what he did best, pulled his twin’s butt out of the pig pin.
“Miss . . .” Van held his hand out, “My names’ Van. The idoit with no grace is my twin Vince.”
The woman snorted and nodded at him. “Idoit is one word I’d use for him.”
“I could give you a bunch more if you want to grab a cup of coffee.”
“Hey!” Vince brushed off his pants.
“Did he mean what he so rudely said?”
Van looked back at his brother and then back to the woman. “We can tell you are our third.”
“What’s that mean?”
“It means . . .” Vince stopped talking when she pointed a finger at him.
“Cool. I’ve been trying to find a way to shut his trap since he began talking.” Van smiled at his brother, taking the sting of his words away.
“Then I may give you some pointers as well.”
“I’ll gladly take them. As for your question, have you never met a set of twin shifters before?”
“Nope. Didn’t grow up knowing about my true self.”
Lots of topic for them to discuss out of that one answer, but his woman deserved her answer first. “Fate gives twin shifters a woman to share, it’s referred to as a triad partnership.”
The deep intake of breath didn’t bode well for them, nod did the red haired woman turning away from them and darting down the sidewalk.
“Way to go.” Vince snapped. “Don’t stand there. Go bring our woman back to us.”
Van sighed and made his way after the red-haired goddess.
