Hope
all are enjoying these little post. Today I chose two words that beginning with
“E”. Eagle and Element of Earth
Eagle, is used as a magical symbolism
in the Kerubic emblem of the element of water. It comes from the complex
magical symbolism of the zodiacal sign Scorpio. The eagle (in alchemy) is a common symbol and usually represents
mercury. If paired with the lion it means mercury and sulphur, which are the
basics of all metallic items.
(I
personally would have never thought an eagle
would be related to water. I could see air, and maybe even earth, but to me
water and a eagle doesn’t match well.)
Element of Earth It is one of the four, (or five,
depending on your beliefs) elements corresponding to matter in solid form, as
well as to the cold and dry qualities. Attributes of Earth vary, but there are
some standards in most current Western occult systems. A few that my resource
listed are below.
Earth
symbol:
Name of
God: ADNI, Adonai
(Lord)
Archangel:
Auriel (Light of God)
Ruler: Kerub
Elemental
King: Ghob
Elementals: Gnomes
Season: Winter
Time of
day: Midnight
Qualities: Cold and dry
Nature: Stability
Of
course how this information is applied and taken depends on your belief system.
Or in a writer’s case how it applies to the story world and character you are
creating.
Hope
all enjoyed today’s post and comes back tomorrow to find out what word I chose
that begins with the letter, “F”.

got this information from.)

Hmm yeah I wouldn't have put eagle with water either. How strange!

As far as Eagle and Water go there is the fish eagle, but you're right, not the first combination I'd have thought of.

I have to agree, eagle does seem an odd choice for water. Fascinating info yet again - sorry I'm late in posting I was off gallivanting with the in-laws yesterday.
